Park Pride

Mission Statement: To lead and inspire action for parks and greenspace

Vision Statement: To create a world-class park system in Atlanta

Park Pride is a nonprofit group that leads and inspires action for parks and greenspace. In 2006, we coordinated over 20,000 hours of volunteer work in Atlanta parks, developed new conceptual master plans for 5 parks, helped start over a dozen friends of the park groups, and led the successful charge to have the Fulton County Board of Commission reverse its decision to sell six Sandy Springs Parks to the highest bidder. Park Pride continued to work with community organizations and grassroot advocates to support the creation of the Atlanta BeltLine, which will create more than 1,000 acres of new parks and 33 miles of trails. Our annual conference serves as the signature event in our work to create a world class park system in Atlanta.

Who They Are
Chrysalis was founded from one man's belief that the downtrodden and hopeless could transform their own lives.  Founded in 1984 by John Dillon, Chrysalis now continues to follow the vision of its founder to help the homeless survive, stabilize and become economically self-sufficient - change lives through jobs.  Today, Chrysalis' philosophy remains the same - a steady job is the single most important step in a person's transition to long-term self-sufficiency.

Rebuilding Together

Who we are:
As an affiliate of the nation’s largest volunteer home repair organization, our mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities.

How we work:
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Rebuilding Together and the catalyst for our projects. With volunteer labor, we can leverage each dollar of capital to provide five dollars of impact. The time and talent of each volunteer empowers us to offer our services at no cost to the homeowner.

Volunteers who share our passion donate their time, talents, and resources to make this vision a reality. While many volunteers are skilled in the building trades, many others are needed to register volunteers, swing a paintbrush or perform yard work. Skilled volunteers are available on each worksite and eager to help volunteers acquire new skills.

Sponsors are crucial to our effort. Generous individuals, corporations, foundations, labor organizations, civic and religious groups provide the resources important to our endeavor. The power of each contribution may be measured not only in the number of homes rehabilitated, but also by the impact upon future generations. Together we can build lasting relationships and effect positive change in the lives of others.

Rebuilding Together is unique in its approach.Together we impact an entire community, not just a single home. RTA provides year-round home rehabilitation service, disability access modifications and home attic insulation.

As an individual person, you can only do so much. But collectively, imagine what a group of people can accomplish together.

We are Rebuilding Communities, Impacting Lives...Together.

Where we work:
As an affiliate of a national organization, we concentrate our efforts on rebuilding the City of Atlanta. Our current target service area is metro Fulton County.
